Exporting League Data

What the Export Data CSV includes, and why some cells are blank or anonymized.

What is Export Data?

Export Data downloads a league's full history as a single CSV file — the rounds, the songs people submitted, the votes, the comments, and the final standings. It's the easiest way to keep your own copy of a season, dig into the results in a spreadsheet, or archive a league once it wraps.

Exporting is a Premium feature. Any subscribed member of a league can export it once voting has opened on the first round — before that there's nothing to export, since votes and standings are empty until voting begins. You'll find Export Data in a league's menu and as an export button on the Standings tab. Your browser downloads a CSV file named after the league.

What's in the file?

You get one CSV file. It opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers. Inside, it's organized into five sections, one after another. Each section starts with a labeled marker row (like [rounds]) followed by its own column headers, and a blank row separates each section.

Section What it contains
[rounds] Every round — its position, title, description, key dates (opens, submissions close, voting closes), current status, and skip reason if it was skipped.
[submissions] Each song submitted — the round it belongs to, who submitted it, the song title and artist, its Spotify track ID, any note the submitter left, and when it was submitted.
[votes] How votes were cast — the round, who voted, whose song they voted for, the song title, and how many points they gave it.
[comments] Discussion on songs — the round, the song, who commented, the comment text, and when it was posted or last edited.
[standings] The final leaderboard — each player's finishing position, display name, total points, and how many rounds they took part in.

All dates and times are in UTC, written in a sortable format like 2026-07-10T14:30:00Z.

Why are some cells blank or anonymized?

The export follows the same privacy rules as the league itself. It never reveals anything the app wouldn't show you on the site. That means a few things are deliberately hidden or left blank:

  • New round data only appears once a round's voting results are in.
  • If your league hides its vote breakdown, the [votes] section is empty — just its header row, with no vote rows at all. The export won't reveal a breakdown the league keeps private.
  • Players who deleted their account show up as [Deleted user] instead of a name. Their submissions and votes stay in the file — they still count toward everyone else's totals and the standings — but their identity is removed. A player who simply left the league or was removed from the league keeps their name: leaving a league doesn't delete their account, and their past songs and votes are preserved exactly as they were.

How are the standings calculated?

The [standings] section matches the standings you see on the league's Standings tab exactly. It respects your league's scoring mode — competitive or friendly, and whether non-voters are excluded — and it only counts rounds whose results are already available. It's the same leaderboard, not a separate calculation.
