How does the league schedule work?
Each round has two phases that happen back to back:
- Submission phase — Players pick and submit their songs. When the phase ends, submissions are locked and the voting phase opens automatically.
- Voting phase — Players listen to all the submissions and distribute their upvote points. When the phase ends, results are revealed and the next round begins.
Rounds run sequentially. Each new round starts as soon as the previous one closes — there are no gaps between rounds unless you build them in with per-round deadlines.

What are the pacing options?
When you create a league, you pick a pacing style. Pacing controls whether phases end early — not how long they are. You set the length separately (anywhere from 1 to 14 days each for submissions and voting). Here are the three styles:
- 🐢 Steady — Deadlines never move. The submission phase always ends exactly when scheduled, and voting always ends exactly when scheduled. Best for casual leagues where players want predictability.
- 🐇 Accelerated — Both phases can close early when everyone's done, but voting still opens on a predictable timestamp so players know exactly when listening starts. A good middle ground between structure and speed.
- ⚡ Speedy — Both phases end early and the next phase begins the moment the previous one ends. No fixed "voting begins" marker — the song submission window closes and voting starts the instant everyone's in. Best for short-burst leagues where the whole group is checking in daily.
In all three styles, the deadline you set is the latest a phase will run — Accelerated and Speedy just let phases finish sooner when everyone's done.
Can I set custom phase lengths?
Yes. Set the submission phase to anywhere from 1 to 14 days, and the voting phase to anywhere from 1 to 14 days — the two are independent. The number of days applies to every round by default.
When does the first round start?
You pick the date and time for when Round 1 opens for submissions. All subsequent round deadlines are calculated from that date based on your chosen phase lengths (and potentially shifted earlier by the pacing style).
You can set the first round to start immediately after launch or schedule it for a future date — useful if you want to give players time to join before submissions open.
Can I set different deadlines for each round?
Yes. The schedule step lets you manually edit the submission and voting deadlines for each individual round if you want to deviate from the default cadence. This is useful if your group has a known busy period — you could stretch out a round that overlaps with a holiday, or add a break between rounds by pushing a start date out.
Can I change the schedule after the league has launched?
There's one supported adjustment after launch: while a round is in its voting phase, the administrator can extend voting by up to 72 hours. Players who have already voted are notified so they know they have more time to revisit their ballot.
Beyond extending voting, round deadlines are set at launch time. If you need more flexibility, use the per-round deadline editing in Step 3 to stagger your schedule before you launch.
