Music League is a web app you can install on your computer — no app store needed. Installed this way it's known as a PWA, or Progressive Web App, and it works in nearly the same way as a mobile app does on your phone or tablet. Once installed, it opens in its own window with its own icon in your Dock or taskbar, just like any other app, and stays signed in between visits.
Installation is free, takes a few seconds, and doesn't download anything beyond what your browser already has. You can remove it at any time.
Install with Chrome (Mac or Windows)
- Open musicleague.dev in Chrome and sign in.
- Look for the install icon in the address bar — a small monitor with a downward arrow, on the right side of the bar.
- Click it, then click Install.
If you don't see the icon, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, then choose Cast, save, and share → Install Music League. (On older versions of Chrome, it's under Save and share or directly in the menu as Install Music League.)
Music League opens in its own window right away. On Windows it's added to your Start menu and taskbar; on Mac it lands in your Applications folder and can be kept in the Dock.
Install with Edge (Windows or Mac)
- Open musicleague.dev in Edge and sign in.
- Click the install icon in the address bar (a grid of squares with a plus), or open the three-dot menu and choose Apps → Install Music League.
- Click Install.
Edge will offer to pin Music League to your taskbar and Start menu — pick whichever you like.
Install with Safari (Mac)
Safari calls this Add to Dock, and it's available on macOS Sonoma and later:
- Open musicleague.dev in Safari and sign in.
- From the menu bar, choose File → Add to Dock…
- Confirm the name and click Add.
Music League appears in your Dock and opens in its own window from then on.
What about Firefox?
Firefox doesn't support installing web apps on the desktop. You can still use Music League normally in a Firefox tab — bookmark musicleague.dev for quick access — or install with Chrome, Edge, or Safari if you want the app experience.
Do I need to install anything to play?
No. Installing is entirely optional — Music League works exactly the same in a regular browser tab. Installing just gives you a dedicated window, a Dock or taskbar icon, and one less tab to lose.
How do I remove it?
- Chrome: Open the Music League app window, click the three-dot menu in its title bar, and choose Uninstall Music League.
- Edge: Open the app window, click the three-dot menu, and choose App settings → Uninstall.
- Safari (Mac): Drag the Music League icon out of the Dock, then delete it from your Applications folder.
Removing the app doesn't touch your account or your leagues — you can keep playing in the browser, or reinstall any time.
The install option isn't showing up. Why?
A few things to check:
- Make sure you're on musicleague.dev — the install option only appears on the site itself, not on pages about it.
- Update your browser. Older versions may not offer installation. Chrome, Edge, and Safari (macOS Sonoma or later) all support it when up to date.
- Check whether it's already installed. Browsers hide the install option once the app is on your computer — look for Music League in your Start menu, Applications folder, or Dock.
- Private or incognito windows usually don't offer installation. Try a regular window.
