Moving to the New Music League

What changed if you played Music League before — your account, your Music Streaming connection, and where your old leagues went.

Do I need to do anything to start using the new Music League?

Very little. Sign in the way that works for you — with Spotify, with Apple, or with email and password — and Music League takes care of the rest, including bringing forward your league history.

The first time you sign in, one short screen asks you to confirm you're 16 or older and to accept our updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. If you'd rather not continue yet, choose Not now: you're signed out, and your account and leagues are kept exactly as they are. Sign back in whenever you're ready.

What happened to my account?

Music League now keeps its own account for you, separate from Spotify (and Apple Music). You can sign in with email and password, with Log in with Spotify, or with Log in with Apple Music — either way, your identity lives in your Music League account, not in Spotify or Apple Music. See Signing In to Music League for details.

Will my old leagues show up?

Yes, automatically. If you connect the same Spotify account you used before, Music League matches your history to it. If you don't have a Spotify account — for example, you sign in with Apple and connect Apple Music — Music League matches your history to your verified email instead, so your old leagues still come across.

Leagues you've finished show up right in your Completed tab. Leagues still in progress appear in your Active tab and will link out to the original platform where you can keep playing them until they end. There's nothing to "claim" — once Music League recognizes you, your history is just there.

What changed with playlists?

Round playlists used to all come from one shared Music League Spotify account. Now every playlist is created directly in your own library — your Spotify library or your Apple Music library — using the account you connect. Playlists show up right away and are yours to keep, even if you leave the league later. See Connecting a music service for more.

This is an official Music League account.
